Upcoming Production!!
Next month, I will be appearing in the Woodstock Playhouse production of A Christmas Carol as the Ghost of Christmas Present! Rehearsals start up in about a month, and performances will be November 25th, 26th and 27th, and December 2nd, 3rd and 4th. Tickets aren't available as of this posting, but should be up for sale soon at the Woodstock Playhouse website. I'll post any updates as they become official, but for now, I'm thrilled to be a part of this production, and looking forward to November!

Improved Sound Quality and New Song!
Well, it took me a while to get everything set to my liking, but I finally completed and uploaded a version of Born to Run with the improved audio quality of my other songs. Additionally, I added my cover of The Weepies' song World Spins Madly On. This latter is one of the first songs I learned to play on guitar. It's a bit different vocally than what I usually do, so head over to my audio page and have a listen!

Improved Audio!
As promised, I have just uploaded a new and improved version of Jonathan Coulton's Skullcrusher Mountain to the audio section of my site. Without going into boring particulars, I used a different method to record the audio so the quality is significantly better. I will be giving Born to Run the same treatment as soon as possible, after which I'll be putting up some fresh material. Enjoy!

Kat Wildish Showcase a Success!
Thank you to everyone who attended the Kat Wildish Showcase this past week! We had two sold-out performances, and were well received both by the audience and by the creative team. I intend to post some of the photos here as soon as I can get my hands on them.
It was amazing to get to have this experience. It's been a long month and a lot of work, but the journey was wonderful, and totally worth it. The moment that stands out clearest for me is sitting in the warm-up room before going on stage and looking at the diverse groups of dancers. Many disparate styles were represented (Ballet, Hip-Hop, Salsa, Theater Dance, and more), but all were united by a love of dance performance. Thanks to all the dancers, the creative team and all attendees. Can't wait for the next one!

Dylan Cover Added
Anyone who's ever spoken to me about music has probably heard me laud the work of Bob Dylan. I've been toying with the idea of covering most of the album Blood on the Tracks for a while, so here, for the first time ever, you can hear my version of You're Gonna Make Me Lonesome When You Go.
And for those who were less than thrilled with the recording quality of my last two pieces (and I include myself in that number), I am trying a new technique with this track. It's far more time consuming, but the quality is much better, I think. As soon as possible, I'll be rerecording Born to Run and Skullcrusher Mountain using this new method, but until then, take a listen to the new song, and enjoy!

Due to a prior engagement, I will be unable to perform in the Wednesday show, but I will be there Thursday. The official announcement can be found on the Ailey site.

New Audio Samples (Right Here in River City!)
After spending longer than I care to admit wrestling with the sound program Audacity, I've managed to get two songs up in the Audio section of my site. My eventual plan is to post full songs, as well as 32-bar cuts of each song for anyone who wants to hear me sing but doesn't have time to listen to the full track.
So for the moment, I've put up an acoustic cover of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run," as well as a shorter (roughly 32-bar) cut of Jonathan Coulton's "Skullcrusher Mountain." I sing and play guitar on each. Both have served me well in auditions in the past, so listen and enjoy!

Long Overdue Update
It's been far too long since I've posted any updates, I know. Over the course of August, I'm taking time to revamp some aspects of my performing career, this website being one of them! So watch this space over the next couple weeks for some long-awaited new content.
As far as a proper news update, after a fantastic tour of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe with Theatreworks USA earlier this year, I have returned to my day (or, more often, evening) job at Pearl Studios in midtown Manhattan. I've had the opportunity to meet and work with a number of great folks here, from casting directors, to opera singers, and couldn't ask for a better off-stage gig. So stop by and see me at Pearl, or keep an eye on this site for updates on my next performances!

As I post this, I am in the van riding to Rome, NY with the cast of The Midnight Ride of Paul Revere! I'm thrilled to be back with Theatreworks USA, reprising the role of Paul in this production. I'll be touring around the north-east through mid-December 2009.
